NDIS: A New Landscape for our Profession

The first stage of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in New South Wales began in the Hunter area on the 1st July 2013. Since then, the roll out has continued in locations around NSW, with more areas due to go live on the 1st July 2016.

Join us on the evening of Friday the 27th May to find out more about the scheme. We will have a presenter from the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to answer all of your NDIS questions.

With the NDIS will come new working arenas in our profession. Could this bring with it new ethical considerations? This will be the focus of a facilitated discussion on Saturday the 28th May. Please submit your ethical scenario/dilemma prior to this workshop using the form below. If you have a number of ideas, feel free to submit them all (please submit each individually).

We will also have a panel discussion from interpreter consumers on their expectations of interpreters working in varying settings; from boardroom to family BBQ.

This event will also be available via live stream.
